This work was written by Sir Edward Shepherd Creasy, an English historian and jurist. Creasy was best known for this work, in which he describes fifteen battles that he believed to be important in shaping the development of Britain or significantly impacted history. This work discusses battles such as 'The Battle of Marathon', 'The Battle of Hastings' and 'The Battle of Waterloo'.

Condition

Bound in half calf with cloth to the boards. Externally smart with fading to the spine, rubbing to the joints and extremities, marks to the boards and a very slight starting to the head of the front joint. Fading to the extremities of the endpapers. Front hinge starting after front blank. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright with occasional light spotting, heavier to the front and rear.
