Produced from the papers of Robert H Baird, this work was produced posthumously. Providing the dimentions and speed of machinery, draught and twist calculations as well as rules and examples for making changes in the size and numbers of roving and yarn. An ex-library copy, originally held at 'The Textile Institute', Manchester. One stamp to the recto of front endpaper.
Condition
In original full cloth binding with gilt stamping to spine and front board. Externally, generally smart with bumping to the head and tail of spine and a small amount to the extremities. Handling marks to boards, particularly the front. Small portion of rubbing to the spine. Institutional stamp to the recto of front endpaper, 'The Textile Institute, 10 Blackfriars St. Manchester'. Bookseller's blind stamp to recto of front endpaper, 'Thomson and Son, Manchester.' Internally, generally firmly bound though strained in places. Pages are slightly age toned to edges. Handling marks to margins of page 46. The odd spot throughout.
