A first edition beautifully illustrated book with chromolithographs which explain the rules and process of playing patience and is offered as 'an occupation for those who have nothing to do' and as an 'amusement for those who have too much to do.'

Including 28 delicately coloured chromolithograph plates and 28 pages of text.

Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Skilfully rebacked with the original cloth restored. Externally, spine is faded and discoloured. There are some marks to the boards and fading to the joints. Internally firmly bound with bright, clean pages with the odd spot throughout.

Overall: Very Good
