Written and illustrated by William Stephen Coleman (1829-1904), an English illustrator known for his natural works, including 'Philip and his Garden', as well as illustrations for 'British Birds' Eggs and Nests', 'British Ferns' and 'Common Objects of the Country'.

With a charming pressed flower. 

Illustrated by the author with in-text illustrations, as well as colour plates.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with just some slight general wear. Contemporary ownership inscriptions to the front endpaper, Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
