Illustrated with twelve colour plates. Collated, complete. Written by Charles Kingsley, a noted board church priest of the Church of England, well known for his works 'The Water-Babies' and 'Westward Ho!'. Sixteen pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Small cracks to the head and tail of the front joints. A few light marks and some rubbing to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the odd spot and the odd mark.
