What Our Customers Say...

Description

Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

A scarce illustrated guide, detailing knowledge of countless aspects of daily and domestic life, including cooking, cleaning and general housekeeping. This is the work of Robert Kemp Philp, a journalist and author of various how-to guides and concise encyclopaedias for domesticity.

Philp's preface states the work to contain 'knowledge upon every conceivable subject, having reference to the health and happiness of the domestic circle'. He intended for this work to be the first port of call 'when a member of a family needs the aid of knowledge upon any subject'.

Featuring a four page publisher's advertisement to the start of the work.
