What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

With thirteen colour plates by Surtees' long-term collaborator John Leech, as well as many wood engravings in-text, the volume makes for a fine example of the author's work, and contains a blindstamp of Burgess printer and stationer, of Macclesfield.

Condition

In cloth binding with gilt detailing. Externally quite smart, there is slight wear to the extremities, and backstrip, with some rubbing and markings to boards, as well as sunning to backstrip. Internally, the pages are generally firmly bound, but are lightly foxed in several areas, with an ink inscription to the front free-endpaper.
