John Timbs was an English author and antiquary. Some of his work was published under the pseudonym Horace Welby. 

This is a new and revised edition, the fourth thousand. 

With chapters on a variety of topics that people commonly make 'errors' with such as animals, food, drink, witchcraft laws and many other works.

Condition

In a full calf binding. Externally light rubbing to the joints and extremities. Loss to the head of spine. Front hinge is slightly strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with just the odd spot.
