Emily Lowe's intriguing first-hand travel account of Norway, an interesting insight on how women travelled without men in the Victorian era. 

In this volume Lowe describes the beauties of Norway, with notes on passing through Denmark and Sweden. Lowe details the picturesque scenery of the country, as well as the culture, food, and people, including Norwegian wedding traditions.

Lowe often travelled with her mother, an intentionally brought a minimum of luggage.

Condition

In the original publisher's blue cloth variant. Externally, with some marks and rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with some spotting
