Illustrated with one colour folding plate, and seventy colour plates.

Collated complete.

An exploration of the ornamental art held at Marlborough House, an impressive collection of furniture, decorative pieces, fabrics, and more, all ornamental in their design.

Compiled by John Charles Robinson, who was the curator of the Museum of Ornamental Art at Marlborough House, remaining the curator as the collection to the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Each plate is accompanied by a detailed description, following the history of each piece and laying out their importance.

Condition

In a half morocco binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, smart. Spine label is lifting a little. A few minor marks to the rear board. Light spots to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age toned and generally clean with a few occasional handling marks and spots.
