What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon
With the bookplate of Bernard Henry Woodward to the front pastedown. Bernard Henry Woodward was a British born Australian museum director and naturalist. He has been commemorated in the scientific names of several organisms including the birds 'Amytornis Woodwardi', 'Colluricincla Woodwardi' and the tree 'Eucalyptus woodwardii'. Above Bernard's bookplate is the signature of his brother Horace Bolingbroke Woodward. Horace was a geologist who participated in the Geological survey of England and Wales. Therefore this book has interesting association with the geology.
