Commenced in the year 1829, Revue des Deux Mondes is a French monthly journal regarding current affairs, culture and literature. Originally intended as a travel and foreign affairs periodical, it soon shifted with the intention of forging a political bridge between France and the United States.
The periodical had various contributors and editors over the years, including Stendhal, Heinrich Heine, Francis Charmes, Francois Buloz, Jean Bothorel, Michel Crepu and Ferdinand Brunetiere.
Six volumes, being volume VIII, IX, X, XII, XIII and XIV. Lacking volume XI. Illustrated with two plates to volume IX.

A smart collection of an important French political journal.
Condition
In a quarter calf binding. Externally generally smart, with some rubbing to the head and tails of the spine and bumping to the extremities occasionally resulting in loss to the paper. A mark to the spine of volume VIII. Ownership label tipped-in to the title page of volume XIII. Internally, binding is generally firm, with occasional slight strain to the hinges, in particular volume XIII at the title page. Pages are just a touch age-toned, with a little occasional spotting.
