Published anonymously, by George Dodd, a nineteenth century English journalist and writer.
Densely illustrated with many engravings throughout the text, and eleven colour plates, including the frontispiece and one further plate, four colour maps and five double-paged colour maps. Collated, complete.
Condition
In half morocco binding and marbled boards. Externally, very smart. There is some minor rubbing to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some light spots.
