First Edition, Folding Maps

This volume is a collection of maps and plans to accompany the reports from the meeting at congress. The first edition of this work. Collated, complete with all maps and plans. The illustrations include those accompanying 'The Report of the Commissioner of the General Land Office', 'The Report of the Government Hospital for the Insane', 'The Report form the Bureau of Topographical Engineers', 'Report of the Quartermaster General', 'Report of Doctor E K Kane to the Secretary of the Navy' and 'Report of the Board of Examiners of the Naval Academy'.

Condition

In full cloth binding with blind stamping and gilt stamping to front board. Externally, loss to the spine and to the extremities loss to spine is more severe. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned. A few chips to the bottom of the first map as well as to map 13 from Report from the Bureau of Topographical Engineers. The same map also is quite creased and has several small closed tears. Other maps with small closed tears at the folds include 'Map of Public Surbery in California', 'Survey of Entrance of Little Sodus Bay..' and 'Plat exhibiting the State of surveys in the State of Florida'. Small amount of loss at the outer edge (when unfolded) of 'Diagram of Tampa Land District, Florida'. In general maps are in a very good condition with a small amount of spots.
