Three works from famed Victorian era author William Makepeace Thackeray.

The first of these is the 1856 edition of  'The Fatal Boots, & Cox's Diary'. This is the first single volume edition of a work which initially appeared the prior year in 'Miscellanies', volume III. An entertaining novella.

The second work - lacking the front wrap - is an 1857 edition of Thackeray's volume of poetry 'Ballads', first published in the year 1855.

The final work is an 1858 edition of 'Sketches & Travels in London', a satirical work first published in 1856.

With advertisements to the rear wrap of each volume.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper wraps. Lacking front wrap of 'Ballads'. Losses of paper to head and tail of 'Ballads' and 'Boots'. Front wrap of 'Boots' tenderly held. Handling marks and light spotting to wrap perimeter. Internally, 'Sketches' and 'Boots' firmly bound, with binding of 'Ballads' tender, with first two gatherings working loose. Pages lightly age toned, with significant spotting and handling marks throughout, most concentrated to page perimeters.
