A charming Victorian fictional work recording anecdotes and humorous scenes and encounters as Brown and his companions Jones and Robinson are travelling through Europe on a summer tour.

Illustrated throughout with eighty plates, collated.

Printed to the recto as called for.

Condition

In half calf binding over marbled boards and edges. Externally smart with only minor shelfwear and minor rubbing to the head and tail of the spine. MInor scuffing to the leather to the extremities. Minor child's inscription to the recto to page eighty. Internally, fimly bound. Minor faint scattered spotting to the pages, particularly affecting the first and last few leaves. Printed to the recto as called for. Pages 49 and 50 printed to the same leaf as called for in this edition. Profusely illustrated throughout with eighty plates. Collated.
