An uncommon work. This work is an extensive guide to all areas of cookery, offering recipes for fish, meat, vegetables, puddings, and more. With eight plates. Written anonymously, only stated as 'By a Lady' to the title page. With sixteen pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, sound. Fading to the boards and spine. Dampstains to the boards. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Some marks to the boards. Hinges are starting but firm. Lacking the front endpaper. Half-title torn to the gutter. Internally, binding is strained in places. Pages are bright and generally clean with some scattered spots. Textblock from pages 81-96 is working loose.
