A study of the British species of butterflies, described and illustrated. This work discusses the life of a butterfly, describing its structure in the larva, pupa, and imago state, and observes poetical references to the butterfly.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart though faded. Shelf wear to the head and tail of the spine. A little bumping to the extremities. Binding is slightly strained to the first plate and to the title page, but remains generally firm. Pages are bright and clean.
