Publishers' Original Binding

With an engraved portrait frontispiece, retaining the original tissue guard.

A 'new edition', including perhaps his best known work, 1799s didactic poem 'The Pleasures of Hope', along with patriotic war songs 'Ye Mariners of England' and 'The Soldier's Dream', among others.

With the inscription of Mary Wainwright, 1855, to the front free endpaper, and the inscription of G. Rae to the front pastedown.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. A touch of discolouration to back strip and board perimeters. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally clean and bright, with only the odd spot.
