This volume combines fifteen short stories and sketches on subjects including hunting, fishing and sailing. Many tales revolve around the author's native New England and Connecticut.
With a former owner's inscription, dated 1884, to the front free endpaper. With nine pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear.
A first edition from the writer best known for the autobiographical work 'Tent Life in the Holy Land'.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, otherwise externally very smart. Foxing to endpapers, with a former owner's inscription to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean, but with instances of spotting to the first half of the work.
