Leather Binding, Scarce

A new edition. In half leather binding. The personal account the of English travel writer, Charlotte Anne Eaton's, time in Belgium during the Waterloo Campaign. Including her firsthand experience of witnessing The Battle of Waterloo. Originally published under the title of 'Narrative of a Residence in Belgium, during the Campaign of 1815, and of a Visit to the Field of Waterloo.' With a bookplate for 'Library Cheltenham' and the previous owner's ink signature to the front paste-down.

Condition

In half leather binding. Externally, good with rubbing to the extremities and marks to the boards. Joints of the front board are slightly loosening but still generally firm. Light offsetting to the paste-downs. A library bookplate and author's ink signature to the front paste-down. Internally, firmly bound. Spotting throughout, heavier towards the front and back but otherwise pages are very bright and clean. Some light age-toning to the edges.
