Fine Binding

The second edition of this uncommon work. 

With the bookplate of Abel Smith to the front pastedown of Woodhall Park. Woodhall Park is based in Hertfordshire and is now the home of Heath Mount School. The property has been in possession of the Abel Smith family for over two centuries. 

With an illustrated frontispiece.

To this work Dunbar discusses Milan, The Brera Gallery, Genoa, Pompeii, Herculaneum, The amalfi coast, Rome, The Vatican and many other exciting locations in Italy.

Condition

In a full calf binding. Externally, very smart. Rubbing to the joints. A few light marks to the front board. Minor tidemark to the bottom of front board, affecting the frontispiece and title page. Spine label is lifting slightly. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Occasional light spots to pages.
