Five issues of 'The Kentish Independent, and County Advertiser', a very scarce broadsheet newspaper published in Woolwich.

These issues contain a wide array of adverts, such as for lettings, jobs, medicine, and produce, as well as articles on politics, foreign intelligence, and news pertinent to the county, such as deaths and arrests, and local events being held. Such news include a child killed by a bear, a fire in Gravesend, auctions being held, the shipwreck of the Lady Evelyn, the Crystal Palace, and more.
This newspaper was published as 'The Kentish Independent' from 1843 to 1910, changing its name to 'Kentish Independent and Kentish Mail' from 1910 to 1965.

Unbound, as issued. Very minor edge wear and age-toning to the newspapers, and a few light spots.
