Complete in two volumes. With a life, critical dissertation and explanatory notes by Rev George Gilfillan. John Milton was an English poet, polemicist, man of letters and civil servant, famous for the epic poem Paradise Lost.

Condition

In original publisher's cloth bindings. Externally, a trifle rubbed with bumping to extremities. Spine cocked. Lifting and loss to backstrip. Joints starting but still reasonably firm. Hinges strained. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with only occasional spot.
