    Eleven volumes of The Christian Treasury, including the volumes from 1853, 1854, 1857-1860 and 1867-1871.

    These volumes contain contributions from Ministers and members of various Evangelical Denominations and contain commentary on Christian teaching, poetry and songs. The Christian Treasury was a periodical that was published monthly and each volume contains the articles from each month of the year. 

    1867, 1868, 1869, 1870 and 1871 have frontispieces and engraved title pages.

    Condition

    1853-1860 is in half calf with green cloth covered boards, with 1853 having marbled boards and 1857 yellow boards. 1859 cloth is coming away from board. Marks to the boards and fading to the spines. 1867-1870 is bound in half calf with blue cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart with some marks to the boards and spine. 1871 is in half calf with marron covered boards. Externally, smart with some fading to the boards. 1853, front hinge is weakening. 1857, first few pages unbound, spine title present. 1858, 1859, 1860 endpapers missing. 1860, first few page loosening and last few pages unbound. 1867, front hinge starting but remains firm firm and rear free endpaper loose.
