She was denied membership by the Royal Geographical Society in London as it forbade the election of women before 1913.
This work is illustrated with seven tinted engravings, six of which are plates. Collated complete.
With two leaves of publisher's advertisements to the rear.

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, with rubbing and bumping to the extremities, heaviest to the spine head and tail. Marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with light spotting throughout, heaviest to the first and last few leaves. Contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
