A very scarce volume rarely found in any edition. The second edition of 1852 of this work by John Dwyer, in which he explores the principles and practice of hydraulic engineering. 

The author looks at the movements and control of fluids in this very informative volume. With a detailed index and a list of testimonials of his work included.

Illustrated with various charts throughout, complete with the two folding plates to the rear with over twenty figures.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding with new endpapers. Externally smart with some shelf wear and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The cloth to the spine and rear board has slightly faded, and is slightly rubbed at the spine. Internally, firmly bound. With a faint age toning, as usual, and a minor odd spotting to the occasional leaf, otherwise the pages are generally clean throughout. Illustrated with various charts throughout, complete with the two folding plates to the rear with over twenty figures.
