    First Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding, Uncommon

    First edition of Life Military and Civil of the Duke of Wellington by 'An Old Soldier' in full calf binding. 

    Digested from the materials of W. H. Maxwell and with some account of his public funeral. 

    Illustrated with sixteen monochrome plates of line engravings. Collated, complete.

    Prior owner's book plate to the front pastedown.

    Condition

    In full calf binding. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some slight wear to the leather in these areas. The leather is slightly faded to the boards. Prior owner's book plate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot and some aging.
