Joseph Ambrose Stapf was an Austrian Catholic theologian who published a number of works in the early nineteenth century.
This volume includes discussion of 'education in its capacity of forming the faculties', the application of the 'principles of education', the cultivation of intellectual faculties, and how the educator should - both directly and indirectly - 'promote virtue in his pupils'.

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with back strip and board perimeters lightly age toned. Discolouration to centre of front board. Small hole to cloth towards back strip head. Internally, firmly bound. Significant handling marks to title page, with further handling marks throughout.
