    First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon

    First edition of The Book of English Songs published by the Office of the National Illustrated Library in the original publisher's cloth binding. 

    Tenth thousandth printing. An uncommon edition. Dated 1851 to the preface. 

    With illustrations throughout the text and a monochrome plate as the frontispiece. 

    In embossed green cloth with gilt to the spine. 


    Condition

    In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The spine is slightly faded. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
