Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce work from prolific author of children's books and religious tracts, George Mogridge, written under his pen name, Old Humphrey.

Illustrated with a frontispiece and small number of vignettes.

A charming volume, containing ten short tales for girls.

Publisher's advertisement pasted to front free endpaper.

Undated; dated 1851 via Jisc.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to spine head and tail, with fading to board perimeters. Publisher's advertisement pasted to front free endpaper, with extensive colour pencil inscriptions to rear pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages a touch age toned, with light spotting and instances of handling marks throughout, but most concentrated to the start of the work.
