William H Prescott wan an American historian, widely recognised as the first American scientific historian. Here is a six volume collection of his historical studies on the conquest of Peru in three volumes and of Mexico in three volumes, respectively the fourth and fifth edition of 1850. In uniform calf bindings.

Both are considered classic works in the field and are very influential and important for the study of both Spain and Mesoamerica.

Illustrated with a folding map of vol. I of both works.
