Five parts bound in one. An extensive scientific work discussing British fossil corals, being a greatly detailed study on the subject. Part I, published in 1850, illustrated with eleven plates. Part II, published in 1851, illustrated with nineteen plates. Part III, published in 1852, illustrated with sixteen plates. Part IV, published in 1853, illustrated with ten plates. Part V, published in 1854, illustrated with sixteen plates. Collated, complete. Written by Henri Milne-Edwards, an eminent French zoologist. Also written by Jules Haime, a French geologist, palaeontologist, and zoologist, who is best known for his research into coral.
Condition
In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Some light marks to the boards and spine. A small amount of loss to the spine label. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the odd spot.
