First edition of The Musical Bijou, An Album of Music and Poetry for 1848 edited by F. H. Burney in the original publisher's quarter calf binding and illustrated paper boards.
A very scarce edition of this album for this year. Other albums were published at other dates.
With five chromolithographs including the title page, the dedication page, the contents page, the frontispiece and the boards and one hundred pages of sheet music. Collated, complete.

Condition
In the original publisher's quarter calf binding with paper boards. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities resulting in some wear. The hinges are starting. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot. Ink inscription from prior owner to the dedication page.
