Description

Publishers' Original Binding

Charles Lamb (1775-1834) was a well-known English essayist. Despite bouts of mental illness, Lamb enjoyed a rich and rewarding social life and fame in his own time. This volume contains Lamb's letters, poems, stories (including Rosamund Gray), and his most known work, the Essays of Elia (including the second volume 'the Last Essays of Elia').

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart. Boards are lightly rubbed in places. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Front hinge starting but firm. Ink inscription to the front blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd spot to the first and last few pages.
