Description

Rebound

Complete in two volumes. These volumes are in French. This work is an interesting look at the history of Christian principles, and the dogmas of faith. Christianity has a set of core beliefs that are shared by virtually all Christians. The author taught dogmatic and moral theology at the University of Bonn, and so this work is instructional and educational. Originally written in German by Henri Klee. Klee was a German theologian and Biblical interpreter. He also published works on Catholic dogmas, as well as 'Die Beicht', 'Commentar Uber den Romerbrief', and 'Enclcylopadie des Theologie'. Translated here into French by the Abbe PH Mabire. Bookplate to the front pastedowns belonging to a John Ponsonby.

Condition

Rebacked with the original half calf with marbled paper boards laid on. Externally, smart. Very light marking to the spines. Evidence of where the joints and extremities had been worn before being rebacked. Bookplates to the front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spots.
