    Eighth edition, carefully revised and corrected. 

    A scarce work which is a great insight into the development of railway systems in the mid nineteenth century. 

    Prior owner's book plate to the first pastedown. From the library of the residents of Culdees Castle.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The rear joint is cracked. The rear hinge is starting but firm. Prior owner's book plate to the first pastedown. Prior owner's ink inscription to the title page. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot and light age toning.
