'The Ingoldsby Legends' are a collection of tales and ghost stories noted to be written by Thomas Ingoldsby, a pseudonym for Richard Harris Barham (1788-1845). They were first printed as a regular series in the magazine 'Bentley's Miscellany' and soon became so popular they were issued separately.

Written by Richard Harris Barham (1788-1845), a novelist, poet and cleric best remembered for this work.

This is the first series, fourth edition of the work.

With an illustrated title page and full plates throughout.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally s,art, with a little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities; spine is a little cocked. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are a little spotted towards the beginning and end of the work, but are otherwise bright and clean.
