The book is bound in cloth with the title from the original paper wraps pasted on the front board. It also contains the original price of the book, 'Four Shillings and Sixpence'. The previous owner's signature is present on the front pastedown: 'John Kennedy's Book, Cullingworth, April 22nd 1864'.
