Written by Mrs Russell Gray.

Featuring all four full page plates by John Franklin. 

Head and tail pieces for each chapter and ornamental initials. 

Bound without the eight leaves of publisher's advertisements recorded on Jisc.

Armorial blind stamp to front board 'The gift of the Haberdashers Company', one of the Great Twelve Livery Companies with a long history closely connected to the development of the City of London.

Condition

Rebound in full morocco with armorial blind stamp in gilt to front board. Externally generally smart with some shelf wear, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities, boards lightly marked and rubbed. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting scattered to leaves, with occasional minor handling or staining mark to odd leaf.
