This is a smart, two volume set of A History of the British Zoophytes, written by George Johnston, in its second edition.
The first volume consists of the text defining Zootypes as plantlike animals and detailing different species and types.
The second volume consists of plates illustrating the contents of volume one with a total of seventy four plates. Collated, complete.
Condition
In half morocco binding with marbled boards. Externally smart with some light rubbing to the joints. There is a bookplate to both pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound with bright pages with some scattered spots with the end of volume two having more spots than elsewhere.
