A very scarce work. 

This work was written by Commander E. Plunkett and provides an interesting account of Naval history and advancement. The work discusses both the history of the Navy and its future, commenting on the shifts in naval technology and the impact of steam power as well as providing predictions on the future of the Navy.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally generally smart with marks and fading to the boards, fading to the spine, bumping to the extremities, a small closed tear to the front joint and slight loss to the cloth to the head and tail of the spine. Rear joint starting with a binder's label to the pastedown. Internally generally firmly bound with the odd page starting and strain between iv-1. Pages lightly age toned and generally clean with the odd spot.
