Written by the noted botanist and educator Charles Alexander Johns, the headmaster of the Helston Grammar School in Cornwall.

Bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper and to the title page.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, with a little loss to the head and tail of the spine. Minor marks to the boards. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some odd spots.
