Small panel of the original cloth front board restored and adhered to the front paste down.

Half-title is present.

Illustrated with a vignette title page and the occasional ink text engraving.

An interesting volume looking into the popular field sports of France, an introductory work that looks not only into the sports themselves but the practicality of traveling to France, offering advice on passports and currency. Sports focuses on are hunting, shooting, and fishing.

Condition

In a full straight grain morocco binding. Externally, smart. Spine is a little discoloured. Light marks to the boards and spine. A small amount of wear to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Rear hinge is starting but firm. Small panel of the original cloth front board restored and adhered to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean, with some a few light spots. Small chip to the margin of the title page.
