    First Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding, Uncommon

    An uncommon first edition of this work.

    Thomas Brown's extensive manual for modern farriery, an essential work looking into the diseases common in livestock, and the sports associated with them. 

    Illustrated with a frontispiece, engraved title page, and eighteen plates.

    Collated, complete.

    Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library.

    Bookplate of Kenneth James Hill to the front paste down.

    Condition

    In a full calf binding. Externally, rubbed with some marking to the boards and spine. Front joint is starting. Bumping to the spine and extremities, with a little lifting to the head of the front joint. Faint surface cracks to the spine. Front hinge is a little strained. Bookplate to the front paste down. Segment of an additional title page tipped into the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spotting. Title page is working loose.
