This 'Rous Roll' is told in the style of the 'Warwick Roll' which was an early family chronicle of the Beauchamp family. The illustrations to this work are often credited to Rous, although it is not known if he drew them. It is believed that only 100 copies of this work was printed and it is therefore very rarely seen. This pictorial history focuses on the Earls of Warwick. The introduction to his work states that Rows is the author of 'another Roll upon the same subject'. With a lithographic title page, and 33 hand-coloured lithographic plates which have been illuminated in silver and gold. There are sixty-four images across these plates.
