John Thomas Smith's charming autobiography, written through a series of recollections over the course of sixty-six years.

Smith was a painter, engraver, and antiquarian, known as the keeper of prints for the British Museum. He also wrote biography on the sculptor Joseph Nollekens.

Condition

Rebacked, with the original publisher's cloth boards and spine restored. Externally, smart. Fading to the spine and joints. Some minor marks to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the extremities. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the odd spot, mostly to the first and last few pages.
