This collection is comprised of 'Alice' by Jean Wathier De Bèsche, three Christmas stories by Charles Dickens, and 'Tåget öfver Store Belt' by Gustaf Henrik Mellin.
All three works are bound together as one.
'Alice' is a novel written in 1845 by Jean Wathier De Bèsche. This is the first edition of the work.
Three Christmas stories by Charles Dickens, surrounding Christmas Eve, new Years Eve and The Cricket on the Hearth. The new, revised edition, with a frontispiece of Dickens.
'Tåget öfver Store Belt' was written by Finnish author Gustaf Henrik Mellin. This work surrounds the military campaign undertaken by the Swedish Empire across the ice between the Danish Islands. Taking place in 1658, this battle concluded with a victory of the Swedish King, Charles X Gustav. Mellin was known for his historical novels, such as this one.

Bound in quarter calf with paper-covered boards. Externally, generally smart, with rubbing to the joints. A little bumping and discolouration to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned, with the occasional light mark or spot, considerably heavier to the last few pages.
