    Containing an account of China by the second Governor of Hong-Kong Sir John Francis Davis. With descriptive, geographical, and historical notes on the country; as well as notes on its government and legislation, character and institution, religion, manners and customs, its literature, and much more. 

    Illustrated with numerous vignettes throughout. 

    Condition

    Rebound in half calf over marbled boards, with marbled edges and renewed endpapers; titles in gilt to morocco spine label. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to first and last few leaves only, pages otherwise bright and clean.
