Vol. X of this small monthly magazine aimed at a middle-class market, largely containing romantic serialised stories, poems, and articles concerned with fashion, running from 1832 to 1852 and succeeded by 'Ladies' cabinet of fashion' in 1852. Edited by Margaret and Beatrice De Courcy.
Condition
In half calf binding over marbled boards. Externally a trifle rubbed with shelf wear, complete loss of back strip, front board loose but present, boards bumped to extremities, lightly marked and rubbed. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to odd leaf, pages otherwise generally very clean throughout.
